Properties

This product appears as a transparent liquid with a strong, pungent odor. It is highly volatile, easily hydrolyzed in moist air, and soluble in solvents such as benzene, diethyl ether, and vinylidene chloride. TMCS is flammable and corrosive.

Applications

Primarily used in the synthesis of silazane compounds and for adjusting the molecular weight of superpolymers. It is especially crucial in the production of silicone oils.

Packaging and Storage

Supplied in 200L iron drums or tanks. It should be stored in a cool, dry, shaded area with good ventilation. Keep away from heat sources and hazardous chemicals.
