Properties

White crystalline solid, either monoclinic or hexagonal. Odorless with a sweet taste. Soluble in water, slightly soluble in alcohol; insoluble in acetone and ether. Melts at 232-236°C.

Usage

Utilized as an intermediate in pesticide production, primarily for glyphosate synthesis. Functions as a solvent for CO₂ removal in the fertilizer industry, an additive in electroplating solutions, and a pH regulator.

Packaging and Storage

Available in 25 kg plastic woven bags with plastic liners or poly bags with inner sheeting, as well as 775 kg jumbo bags. Store in a dry place, protected from sunlight and moisture.
